Responsibilities
? Management of structural engineering projects (capital cost upto ?25m) or sections of larger projects. Multi-discipline commission experience would be beneficial.
? Providing technological input and supervisory technical input by others within the structural discipline.
? Effectively manage own time which may if necessary be allocated to more than one project.
? Assist in the preparation of offers as directed.
? Build client relationships and help identify business prospects, but will not have formal client or sales accountability.
? Fulfilling all QA procedures
Requirements
Masters degree in civil or structural engineering or equivalent.
? Chartered membership of the Institution of Structural Engineers or equivalent.
? At least five years project engineering experience including design, project management and some site supervision.
? Familiarity and experience of engineering design and drafting software, eg Autocad, FE Analysis Software, NBS, familiarity with the Microsoft suite of projects.
? Experience of having managed a range of projects in varied market sectors and acquired a knowledge of a range of specialisms.
? Ability to work for varied and multiple clients on a consultancy basis with some experience in government and corporate sectors advantageous but not essential.
? Strong customer focus.
? Good organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision.
? Specification and report writing skills.
? You will be commercially aware and have a flexible attitude to both the type of work to be undertaken and the level of responsibility accepted.
? Good communication skills.
? Current full drivers licence.
? Minimum Experience of 10 years required
